Mobile connectivity is a vital part of modern life and business – and it is transforming our economy. Today, four in every five adults in the UK own a smartphone and about three quarters of them access the internet via their phones on the move.
Customers increasingly expect to be able to access innovative products and services. This consumer demand for mobile-powered product, services and experiences will continue to soar. More than a third of leaders in small and large business and public sector organisations who we recently spoke to expect that more of their customers will choose to interact with them through digital means like social media, email and live chat in 2017. The same number said they expect their customers to want to access more of their products/services online or via mobile in 2017.
In such a competitive and rapidly evolving market delivering exceptional experiences and interactions for customers has never been more important. As consumer demands and expectations rise, so too will the value of delivering a consistently excellent, seamless and personalised service.
We recognise the need to continue to bring customers the best products and services which is why we’re committed to working with like-minded partners who can help us deliver even more for our customers.
We recently hosted our O2 SMB Summer Partner Conference in London, bringing together over 45 of our SMB partners. The event gave our partners the opportunity to hear more about our customer strategy direct from our CEO, Mark Evans, as well as key business updates from our Marketing, Network and Customer Service teams.
For me the event was about highlighting the importance of great partnerships in delivering a consistently brilliant experience for our business customers. By sharing our business strategy and ambition we reconfirmed our commitment to our partners, recognising the value and expertise they bring. Our message to partners remains consistent: they will continue to be a key element of our strategy. Through working together to make every day better for our customers we can continue to grow our businesses and win in the market.
We’re all excited about the future and the opportunities it will bring. However, we also understand the challenges we will face which is why I’m proud that we’re continuing to build partnerships for the future and continuing to put customers at the heart of everything we do.
